Miss Emgland II
Sir Henry Seagrave was within seconds of disaster when Atkinson and Pollitt photographed Mis Emgland II travelling at a speed of 119 m.p.h. on Friday 13 June 1930. Sir Henry and mechanic Vic Halliwell died, but mechanic Michael Willcocks survived, when the boat flipped over.

"I remember being taken to see Seagrave from the steamer pier,
I would have been about eight. I think it was his fatal attempt."
